Cherry Blossoms

May 20th, 2013

I love shooting in and around Cherry Blossom Trees, they make for really nice photos. I haven’t had the opportunity this year to shoot any pictures with them, but it just dawned on me this week that they Cherry Blossom tree’s have been really late to flower this year. I guess it is to do with the rubbish weather we have been having. The tree out the front of our house only flowered last week, but this photo below was taken on 24th March last year! That nearly a 2 month delay this year compared to last. I hope we get a great summer to make up for it.

The photo below was taken at Peter and Christine’s wedding last year. You can see the full post here.

Quick Portrait

Although I didn’t have any shoots booked in for the evening, the light was so lovely, that I persuaded my wonderful wife to let me grab a few photos of her…

Here is just one for now…

My Camera Collection

May 7th, 2013

I’ve been shooting a lot of film recently, and thought (possibly incorrectly) that you might be interested to see my collection of film cameras. I currently have 26 in total, but this will probably  definitely grow over the coming weeks and months.  There are Instant/Polaroid cameras, SLRs, TLRs, box cameras, folding cameras. One of the cameras actually dates back to somwhere between 1925-1935, and yes it does still work, and yes I have used it. I have shot on most of these cameras, regardless of availability of film, and the ones I haven’t yet used, will be used in the coming months.

I photographed these in my office at home, using off camera flash, which is great for still life/photographing objects.
